Little Reader

The love I have for books has most definatly been pasted down to Brynlee. She gets so excited and kicks her feet insanely when I take a book out and start to flip the pages. I love it.
For Christmas my dad and sister got her quite a few books. My sister got her 5 hard ones that she can read on her own and my dad got her two Disney storybooks. One of classic Disney tales and the other of all the Princesses. They are longer stories, so her attention span on one page doesn't last long enough just yet, although I am excited to get to read those to her!
She is reading Minnie's Ballet here. Of course my sister got her a bunch of Mickey Mouse books, with her 8 months she spent working at the Disney World Resort, how could she resist!
I just wanted to share how big my baby is getting and her love of books, which I am not complaining about! At least they are less bulky then toys, since soon we'll have to pack up all the toys she got for Christmas, none are small, and pick few to pack in the suit cases with us. Good thing she's easy and will play with a piece of paper! Haha

*Once again, prayers for our upcoming move. Our house hold goods will be getting packed up in 2 weeks and then we'll be living out of a suit case. Our plane leaves Aviano on February 16th. Once we get to Georgia, we'll be living out of a suit case for at least another month, hopefully not much longer then that!

*Say a short prayer for the dogs. I am super nervous about Kodi flying. He HATES his travel kennel. He's great in the metal one that isn't so confining. I wish we could ship him in that. He has bad anxiety and I'm going to be a nervous wreck for that 9 hour plane ride. We plan to dope him up with Benedryl, Calming tablets, and Pepto. Hoping some of that helps him sleep more then anything. I'm not too worried about Kaci .She only freaks out when he freaks out. She is calmer too.

*Then of course say a prayer for me. This has been my life since I was born, but goodbyes never get easier. You think they should, but they most definatly do not. At least we know, the Military is really a small world of people, whom we may very likely see again one day!

Day 21

A picture of something that makes you happy.
My dogs haven't been in many posts, and before Brynlee they were my life. They kept me company while Nick was at work. They love to cuddle. They love to play. I mean they are always there for me. Although I want to strangle Kodi sometimes, I could not get rid of him by any means! Part of it was because he was set in his ways when we got him. He was 15m old. He has gotten 110% better from the first weeks we had him though! Kaci is a good girl. We have had her since she was born, literally. She was born next door, so it was easy to see and play with her from day one. Kodi is actually her dad. Now of course, since they know no different, we call them brother and sister. There ya go, my dogs make me happy!

Holiday

Whew! What a couple last days its been! But I'm going to start 2 weeks ago when I left for the states.

Most know I went stateside to visit family. I left here Dec 1 and got to Balt that evening, spent the night in the USO and then headed to Arkansas where my Grandparents and mom were waiting for me. The flight from Balt to Little Rock was horrid. Seatbelt sign the whole time and for me, needing to use the facilities half way through the 2 hour flight, the bumps did not help at all! When we landed I was walking out to meet my family and my mom hugged me and then unzipped my jacket to have a look at the belly. She then began rubbing it and so on. Haha. She loved it. She was obsessed. Always asking if she was awake and moving around. It was great to go to AR and have my family be able to see me in the lovely pregnancy state that I am. Lol. My mom, nana, and sister all got to feel Brynlee move. ( My sister flew in a few days later from FL)

We did a lot of shopping. Mainly for Brynlee's room and such. My mom is making her comforter. Its very cute and bright! I got some wooden letters that spell her name that I am going to paint and hang by ribbon over her crib. Found the stroller/carseat combo I was hoping to find. Checked it as a bag, so no shipping cost! She got quite a few outfits from my mom and sister and nana. I only bought 2 little things clothing wise and Nick saw them all and was like "I thought you weren't going to buy her any clothes!" I replied, "I didn't buy any of this but these 2!" I better get use to that though, my sister and mom just love buying baby clothes!

My sister was only there for 4 days. Short and sweet. We did Christmas while we were all there. So that was pretty fun. Even did the big dinner after presents! Oh man have I missed my nana's cooking! Speaking of that, she did indeed teach me how to make her oh so yummy chicken and dumplins. I am excited to try it out and see what Nick says. He has had her's so we'll see how they compare. I'm sure they won't be anywhere near as good but hopefully still yummy!

The whole visit was great! Lots of relaxing, shopping, and card and domino playing. Which I love! I am very thankful that the military has the Rotator jet that is so very cheap to fly out from here. Granted you might or might not get on, but you still save lots of money! So I am thankful.

Only to find out when I got home that my Kodi boy was missing. That of course is how Nick greeted me at the terminal, as he didn't want to leave it out too long, which I am glad. When he told me I of course lost it. That was a rough evening, not the homecoming anyone wants. I don't have children just yet. Or don't know the exact feeling you can say, definatly a lot for this little girl already but when she's born I know it will grow significantly. I do however feel that these dogs of mine are my children, and I love them so much. So coming home and finding out one is missing, for me, was hard. Some may not understand but thats ok. I'm really not even sure if all that actually made sense, but again, thats ok.

All in all we found Kodi. Or someone did and took him to the pound. He looked so happy when I walked through that door to go leash him up! Oh was I glad to see him! Only thing that we notice wrong is his feet. The pads are very torn up. Not sure if that was before or after the pound. He did spend the night there. So who knows. He licks and messes with them a lot right now, only time will heal and if thats all that is wrong, I thank the Lord!

I am so happy to be home and back in my hubby's arms! I am very thankful that the Lord let me go visit family with no troubles, but I love being where my hubby is! Thankyou for all who prayed about me getting on the flights to and from. Thankyou to all who prayed for Kodi's safe returning. I am excited to spend this holiday season with my hubby, as we as military spouses never know when our airmen will be home for the holiday's or not.

Hoping everyone has a very Merry CHRISTmas and a wonderful New Year! Stay safe! Stay warm! And don't forget,

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Snow Day

So it is definatly getting closer to winter in these parts! Its chilly most days, and there is tons of snow on the gorgeous Italian Alps right outside!

We went up there this past weekend to play in the snow. It was lots of fun, minus the driving up there. Now I am not fond of winding, tiny roads, that don't have a ton of room for two way traffic, and on the side of a mountain in the first place, but when there is so much fog and you can't see the car 20 yards in front of you.....it gets creepy! I should have taken my camera out to take a picture of how bad it was, but my hand was hanging on pretty tight in to the door handle and wasn't letting go. Thank goodness Nick didn't freak out too. We would have been in trouble then! I'm just glad I didn't drive up there!

When we got to the town of Piancovallo, where the ski slopes and sledding hills are, it was still so very foggy that we couldn't tell where the park was! Finally our friends that were with us, Holly & Josh found the sled park, but unfortunatly before that, we lost them in the fog! We went in circles a couple times before finding them! Then of course the fog just disappeared! So we played in the snow with the dogs and our new friends for a couple hours.

Nick brought our sleds and tried to get the dogs to pull him, they aren't the best sled dogs out there, but they also had 2 other dogs to distract them from their work.

They pulled him one way, but it was slighly down a little incline. The way back was not as fun. Lol. It was fun to watch though! The first time Nick tried he he forgot to hold the rope, and this is what happened; They ran full speed hooked together! Thank goodness they didn't round a tree or anything! That would not have been pretty! Ironically they ran very well tied so closely together!

Well, by the time we left the fog rolled back in, and of course was on those lovely, winding, not much room for two cars roads. I will leave you with some of my favorite pictures from the day. I definatly can't wait to go back and play in the snow. Oh by the way I couldn't do much, cause my snow pants, are just a bit too snug! Haha. I have to find some of those bibs with no waste band so I can still have fun and not get wet! Have a good week everyone!I love this picture!
We never figured out what they were so interested in, but Kodi was in that hole the rest of the time up there!

They played and ran so much, they were out cold that evening!

Whats new?! Not much!

Whew how time flies!

I can't believe that I will be 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Only 4 weeks till I am half way through! Crazy! It just seems like a couple days ago we found out, it flew faster than I thought it would really. Which means the last half will probably go even faster since we'll be getting things all ready.

I am very excited for sure, but its kinda nerve racking all the same. Being a mom for the first time. Having this little person be soley dependent on Nick and I. The whole not sleeping thing, that will be tough! Haha. I like my sleep!

Like I said though, we are super excited and definatly anxious to welcome this little person into our family. Even though, we both have agreed that we will definatly have some jealousy issues with Kodi. He gets jealous now, over Nick hugging me or loving on Kaci, so I know he is gonna be a handful when we bring the bundle of joy home!

As far as the pregnancy itself, its going great. I am slowly but surely starting to get more of a belly, so says Nick. I still don't see it as much but he says I do look pregnant. When Nick gets off work tomorrow I will have him take a picture, mainly for my mom, because she begs for them weekly. My next appointment is the 27th and then after that we get to schedule the big ultrasound!

I am planning on flying space A to my grandparents house the begining of December. My mom is there going to school and since I didn't get to see my sister when I was stateside this past July she is flying to Arkansas from Florida to see me! So I am pretty excited about that. Since it will be space A though, pray that all goes well I get on here and in Baltimore on the way back. It will be a short trip. Only 2 weeks but well worth it. And not to mention baby shopping! BX here is so limited and, well then we won't have everything the same as everyone else here! And then of course, shopping with mom and Kylie will be awesome too.

Thats all I have for now I believe, hope everyone is doing well, wherever you may be!

Randomness

I just figured since I hadn't posted in awhile I'll go ahead and post some random pictures. I don't really have anything to post about, so here ya go!

The above picture:

Caught in the rain. LOTS of it. Plus some hail. We were walking the kids on base, nice day, drinking some juice outside the BX, clouds roll in. Boom. Its not stopping, may as well make a run for it. Then it started hailing. Nick had dogs, I had keys {no remote for us, or auto locks. Lol} I unlocked my door, then reached for his, my hands were so wet I couldnt' get it up and it was hailing! Poor Nick! Once we were in the car, we were histarically{sp?} laughing. Ah memories!

No he isn't allowed on the couch all the time. Only when we call him. Bad habit yes, I tried, Nick persisted he wanted to cuddle. Looks like I lost eh!?

We went out to the E Club on base for my birthday dinner. Nothing fancy, just Nick and I.

PS I wasn't wearing a tiara, I edited it in!

Gotta love the tongue.

I just realized there are no Kaci pics. Oops. But she's good. She got spade on Thursday, now she is all back to her usual self, minus the pit stops to sit for a bit. Guess she's still sore.

Kodi and Buddy

Who wants the football?!
Its a race! Buddy won!
Then Kodi stole it.
And here's one with the pretty girl. Dirty is more like it.

Beachin' it up!

We were at the beach Saturday, Sunday and Monday of this weekend. It was so much fun but very exhausting! We went camping Sat-Sun {pics to come} but on Monday we drove back to the beach to be bums before the week really started. It was so nice just relaxing. The beach we normally go to here has a lot of restrictions and it was annoying. Couldn't bring your own chairs or umbrella's. Had to rent theirs. No dogs. And so on. So we found this one. The Free Beach. No chairs to rent. You can bring whatever you like. So on Sunday after noon, after we got back from camping, I went in search of a beach umbrella and some lounge chairs. The base had no more chairs, that I wanted anyhow, but they did have 2 more umbrella's. So I got one, and now Nick wants me to get another, so we have more shade and we're not so confined. Lol.

Oh and the Free Beach is also known as the Dog Beach. So it worked out a lot better! Kodi and Kaci didn't mind the water really, when the waves got a bit bigger they kinda freaked Kodi out. BUT we did get him to swim, and when I say swim, I mean really swim out there. Our friends Josh and Holly and their dog Buddy came along with us and Josh had brought one of those nerf footballs. Kodi wouldn't swim out to get a tennis ball, which is weird cuz he loves them, but he did indeed want that football. So now we know what to buy so he'll swim. {I'll add some of him swimming after I steal them from Holly!}

By the way, he slept the whole 40 min drive home! He was pooped!
This is one of my favorite pictures. So calming.
Monday was a great day to go, not an Italian holiday and not many people there!

Kaci and her blues that match the sky.
Our little set up. Made lounging so much better since the dogs liked to lounge on the towel with you!

Kaci

I looked out the back door to this...she was just chilling in the empty pool. I called her, she did't come just wagged her tail as usual. Maybe I should fill it, but then she will do this and want to come inside and be soaked!

The Noose.

Here is a lovely video of our babies. Yes, thats a noose. I am hoping that is how you spell it. When we first got here, Nick's squad was moving from the old building to the new one, and this noose was there so he took it since they were throwing it out. No clue what it was for, lol. We've just had it in the closet doing absolutely nothing! Well tonight, for who knows what reason, Nicholas decides to get it out. He started playing with Kodi with it and he is loving it, well he decied to tie it to the stair banister, and voila a lazy person dog toy! Haha. It was just funny to watch Kodi trying to pull this and its obviously not budging. Then of course, Kaci had to get in a little action too. She isn't much of a tug-o-war'er but hey, she wanted something!

Hope you enjoy!

My New Favorite Picture!

Like the title. This is my new fave picture!

We went walking, as usual. And I was like 'hey try to get a pic of our backs....'...then Nick called them both and it was perfect!

Sunny Saturday

We went hiking on Saturday morning, {4/25}...Just Nick and I and the fur babies. We had a blast. It was such a gorgeous day! We hiked so high, that it started to get really cold....when we got down and noticed how high we were, we were like, "No wonder it was gettin cold, the snow was right there"....Needless to say, if we would have kept going up a little bit more, we definatly would have needed snow boots! Hehe.
I love us!
Taking a breather.

Where's Kodi?!

Pretty Girl cooling off.

Rock Diving! Lol

Not so inocent....

Clearly they don't look inocent do they!? Well they aren't. They are indeed diggers. That piece of dirt Kodi is laying on, is quite frankly, the hole they are digging. They have been out back for hours on end today, I'm guessing because its nice, breezy and maybe they just feel like getting on 'mama's' nerves today! Who knows.

When I open the back door, they act as if they aren't doing anything. Kodi will stand in front of or lay in the hole they are working on. Crazy smart dogs I tell ya. Then I shut the door and spy on them, they lay or wait for a bit...then when I do walk away and then walk back, they are back to digging their lovely hole. Oh joy!

I have been inside cleaning so I love them wanting to stay outside, usually Kodi goes out to do his buisness then wants back in {he has to be leashed when outback, he jumps the fence}. Kaci could be outside all day and wouldn't care to come inside, unless you have food of course.
I do love them. Now they need baths! Nick isn't going to be happy. Because we have to double team it! Kaci is horrible at baths and Kodi, well he has his moments. Nick holds them, I scrub!

Anyways. Thats my excitement so far!

Baylie Loves Huskies.

Whenever Baylie and Emily come over, Baylie just loves being on the ground with Kodi and Kaci and they love it too! Well Kaci more than Kodi most times. I am so glad that they are great around kids. Baylie just hangs on Kaci and pulls and grabs and climbs and Kaci just lays there and sometimes rolls over for Baylie to pet her or something. Hehe.
I guess Kodi didn't want left out of the photo.
I love how Baylie squints when she see's a camera now!

Move over...

So, I was sitting at the computer and looked over and saw this...Kodi squeezed himself in the bed with Kaci.

I remember when they fit so perfectly in that bed together....She needs to stop growing! Haha.

I just thought it was funny and cute. Wanted to share!

Kaci loves TV.

We were watching "The Horse Whisperer" last night, and she liked it too! She watches TV once and awhile but was really into the horses! I just found it funny and wanted to share!

Do YOU want a husky?!

Kodi is now 'blowing his coat'.
Fun times I'll tell ya!
I am not sure if the bath we gave him yesterday make it come but its here now!
That is from last night, using the Furminator{takes the under coat out}. He lets us brush him. Unfortunatly Kaci won't, but she isn't shedding right now. Thank goodness.
I hope its always at different times! Otherwise it will be a mess!
Oh and by the way, thats not all of it, thats just from last night, we'll do more tonight!

Big As Mamma.

Look at that! Kaci is just as big as her mamma, Skye. Skye is of course fatter, but she is carrying another set of gorgeous husky's as of now. She only has a little over 2 weeks left. Anyone want to guess how many there will be this time? There were 6 last time. Lol.
Anyways. The sun is shining out today its so nice! Still chilly but definatly not cold ! I love it. I think I will sit on the balcony and read my photography book....
I hope everyone has a great day!

Almost time.

I know that the time Nick was gone is nothing compared to a deployment, but that doesn't necessarily make it easier. To a point, yes, cause you know they will be home at this specific time not too far off, but they are still not with you, and thats never easy.

But its almost over! Of course I am not at liberty to say when he is coming home, but its indeed sooner than later. I am pretty excited. 3 weeks. Not long. Not short. Glad its coming to an end.

This was our first TDY since we've been here. Which by the way, we've been here over a year now, crazy how time flies! Crazy. So being the first separation since moving here. I was nervous. Cause no family to keep me company, I mean last time he was gone, I lived with my dad. So that wasn't the same as now.

I am VERY thankful for my fur babies! This house would feel so very empty if they weren't in here with me. They are always there to love on and cuddle with when the time is going slow and the house feels lonely. As much as they are annoying at times, I wouldn't give them up for anything! Thats a fact!

I've been going to aerobics. I love it. Its nice when someone tells you what to do and you have to do it! I quit ER watching. Not cause I didn't like it. But just needed a change. I'll go back to it sometime. I can't wait to start cooking again. I have only used the stove twice since Nick has been gone. Sanwiches and cereal. Haha. But I love both so it works. I love cooking. But no point for just me.

Today, I came home, and the remote was gone and pieces of it were spread about, including one battery. I did indeed think Kaci {Kodi doesn't chew and she is a pup} ate the battery. I started freaking out. Tears and all. Only because I was of course thinking the worse...'what will the battery acid do to her stomach?....did she chew it or swallow it hole?...did she throw it up already?.... All the bad things of course. So I called our vet. He gives out his cell phone for this reason. I love it. He was a but nervous, but of course didn't say why..but I could tell. He wasn't in the area so he said to watch her and bring her in at 6p when he was gonna be back. Well I had already checked under the couch but decided to do so again, what did I find. The rest of the remote including the other battery!! BREATHE was what I had to do now. I was so relieved. Whew.

See. These are my babies. No joke about that. That was my action for today. Haha.

That is her favorite spot. Under the recliner. Wondering how many times I've smashed her?! Lots. Haha. Especially when she was tiny!

Kodi & Kaci

Here's my babies. Doing what they do best. They are so mean but are just playing with each other. See how big Kaci is now!
